The Ultra Quasar has always been at the cutting edge of low weight mountain tents and still remains the only choice when a combination of total reliability and low weight is essential.
A resdesigned white inner, with scalloped pole sleeves, is added to the existing spacious, stable frame. The result is improved ventilation, reduced weight and a light airy feel. 8.55mm DAC poles further reduce weight to well below 3kg, whilst retaining strength and ease of assembly. The new guyline system is stronger and easier to use further increasing poor weather stability. The two entrances provide a choice for use in bad weather as well as amble storage and cooking space.

Fabrics:
- new Watershed SL2 flysheet fabric, with a minimum Hydrostatic Head of 6000mm
- The inner and groundsheet are Waterbloc SL 7000mm made using ''High Tenacity Nylon 6.6'' which is proven to give:
- better UV resistance than standard synthetic materials
- better resistance to flex fatigue
- better tear and abrasion-resistance (up to 500\% better than polyester)
- better bonding to waterproof coatings
- better strength to weight ratio
- Colour coded DAC Featherlite poles provide quick, simple and very strong and effective pitching.
