The Superlite Quasar uses the same dimensions as the standard Quasar, but uses the same fabrics as our Laser range. The double silicon flysheet is increadably lightweight but retains excellent durability and waterproofing. Add the proven strength of the Quasar geodesic construction and the Superlite Quasar becomes an excellent choice for lightweight backpackers.
At 1.25Kg per person, the Superlite Quasar gives strength and durability at half the weight of a standard Quasar.
Fabrics:
- Watershed SL flysheet fabric, with a minimum Hydrostatic Head of 4000mm
- The inner and groundsheet are Waterbloc SL 7000mm made using ''High Tenacity Nylon 6.6'' which is proven to give:
- better UV resistance than standard synthetic materials
- better resistance to flex fatigue
- better tear and abrasion-resistance (up to 500\% better than polyester)
- better bonding to waterproof coatings
- better strength to weight ratio
- DAC Featherlite poles provide quick, simple and very strong and effective pitching.
