Terms and conditions of sale - please read carefully

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with Norwich Outdoor Sport Ltd trading as Gear-zone.co.uk. Please read carefully before placing an order. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights. All references to 'us', 'we' or the 'company' refer to Norwich Outdoor Sport Ltd trading as Gear-zone.co.uk. 'You' or the 'customer' refers to the person responsible for placing the order. By placing an order with Norwich Outdoor Sport Ltd trading as Gear-zone.co.uk. you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
We aim to deliver all your items within 24-48 Hours. Should there be any delay we will contact you via email to advise you of an expected delivery date.
Delivery is by either Royal Mail or courier depending on order value, weight and destination. We can not guarantee the delivery time.

Delivery charges are only incurred per order and not per item. We will only charge you postage once.

We are pleased to accept orders from mainland United Kingdom, its associated islands and BFPO addresses. Orders will be charged when they are ready for dispatch, and our confirmation email does not constitute a formal contract, only acknowledgement that your order has been received. If you would like to cancel or amend your order a full refund will be given for the unwanted products, should payment have already been taken.
We do not however process orders which originate outside the U.K, nor deliver to addresses that are outside of the U.K. or P.O. boxes.
We will accept orders via telephone, online transaction, e-mail and post. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, Delta, Maestro and Solo but cannot process American Express or swipe only cards such as Electron. If the card issuer refuses to authorise payment we will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of the order.
No orders will be accepted without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder and its registered address.
Customers please note that it is Norwich Outdoor Sport Ltd that will appear on your card statement.
To Cancel a Current Order
If for whatever reason you wish to cancel your order or part order with Norwich Outdoor Sport Ltd trading as Gear-zone.co.uk you must email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Damaged Items And Delivery Mistakes
In the event of any goods being delivered faulty, damaged in transit or incorrect according to the delivery note/invoice then we must be notified within 7 working days of receipt. If we receive no notification the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory.
We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the courier company. Liability in those cases is limited to the value of those items, which are shown not to have been received by the customer.
In accordance with Distance Selling Legislation, original P&P will be refunded on products damaged or faulty upon arrival, or are cancelled within 7 days delivery (see Distance Selling regulations below). The cost of your postage to us is also refundable where the product is faulty or damaged upon arrival and in these cases the credit card used will be credited with the current price of postage according to Royal Mail's tariff. All mainland UK orders under £69.99 will have a £3.99 P&P charge applied. All orders shipped to the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands and BFPO addresses will have a £8.99 P&P charge applied, click here for full details of postcodes with this surcharge. Orders over £69.99 have free postage, when not included in the remote UK area.
Items ordered will be delivered as soon as possible and we aim to process each order within 24 hours of receipt. Although you can have the goods delivered to any address within the UK we recommend that there be someone to sign for the goods upon delivery to speed up the delivery time and avoid any delays. Deliveries are usually between Mon-Fri (8.00am - 5.30pm). We reserve the right to deliver the goods to the cardholder's address.
Redirection of Consignment Once Despatched
Unfortunately, we regret to say we may charge up to a £10.00 surcharge should the parcel need to be re-routed to a different address once dispatched (We do recommend that all orders are sent to an address where a signature is available). This is because we are charged for this service by our couriers. Please call us on 01603 699873 and we can confirm details, and charges (if applicable).
We reserve the right to change the delivery prices without prior notice. While we make every effort to ensure that delivery takes place within 24-48 hours, we cannot guarantee any delivery times. Delivery to non-mainland UK destinations may incur a delay in delivery.
In the event that we cannot deliver your order or a part of your order we will endeavour to inform you within three working days via email.
If Royal Mail or our courier attempt delivery and there is no-one available to sign for the parcel a card will be left which will include details regarding what to do next. Delivery is normally attempted once by Royal Mail and twice by our courier on consecutive working days.

Distance Selling Regulations:
As a mail order customer you have the right to cancel any item within 7 days of delivery provided they are in new and unused condition with original packaging and receipt. Items used will be deemed to have been accepted by you and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty. To cancel an item please call or e-mail us.
Items must be received by us within 7 days of cancellation and you will receive a full refund to your credit card upon inspection of the goods, including any postage we charged you. We will not refund the postage costs from you to us unless the item is faulty or there is an error in the delivery.
Price and Print Errors
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that all details published are correct no responsibility will be accepted for genuine errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter specifications and prices without notice.
Occasionally when we remove products and especially if you find a product through a search engine the item will display at £0.00. This is because search engines sometimes provide stored, cached pages (old 'copies') to speed the search process up. We reserve the right to refuse sale in this situation. Please go to http://www.gear-zone.co.uk, clear your computer's Temporary Internet Files (e.g in Microsoft Internet Explorer go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Delete Files) then refresh the page. If you then try looking for the item it should not display.
All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and include UK VAT at 20% unless clearly stated otherwise (I.E. Channel Islands and some BFPO addresses). Please note that for customers wishing to have VAT deducted from their order, they will need to contact us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to placing their order for details on how to do so. VAT is not automatically deducted by placing an order through the website. All prices are subject to change without prior notification.
Products are sold singly, unless otherwise stated, and although we make every effort to ensure that we have stock we cannot guarantee that every item on the online shop is in stock and available for immediate dispatch. Should products be out of stock we will endeavour to inform you within one working day.
Some items will be marked as 'Special Order'. Availability of Special Order items is dependent on availability from the manufacturer. Please ensure that your e-mail address is correct when placing the order, so that we are able to contact you regarding your order. Every effort is also made to ensure that the colours listed and pictures on the site are accurate but due to technical limitations some colours may vary.
When you place an order to purchase a product from Gear Zone.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
Shopping is Safe at Gear-Zone.co.uk
Shopping is safe with us because all details are sent using encrypted software. This means that the credit card details sent are coded in such a way that, in the extremely unlikely event that someone is somehow able to obtain this information, only we can decode the information to obtain your credit card details. The credit card details are encrypted on your PC through the "encryption" page and they are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. The method used is 128-bit encryption. Please note that none of our customers has ever reported to us fraudulent use of their credit card as a result of shopping with Gear-Zone.co.uk.
Guarantee and Faulty Items
All products are guaranteed for a minimum of twelve months (unless otherwise stated) from the original date of invoice against failure to provide reasonable wear due to defective workmanship or materials so long as the product was used for its intended purpose. This guarantee excludes damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse (i.e use for other than intended purpose of item).
Many of the products sold on the online shop have lifetime guarantees. This refers to the lifetime of the product (not the purchaser) and is valid so long as the original purchaser has the product. The guarantee is still only for defective workmanship and materials and does not cover natural wear and tear or ageing.
In the event of a product failing please call or e-mail us with details of the product, fault and age. A proof of purchase is necessary and the item must be returned in a clean and dry condition, any items returned in a state other than above will be returned to sender due to Health and Safety regulations.

Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be 100% satisfied with any and every order placed with us. Therefore if you wish to return an item for any reason at all you may do so up to 30 days from receipt of the goods. To return a non-faulty item the product must be in its original condition with the original labels attached and a copy of the invoice. Once an item has been worn or used we will be unable to refund or exchange unless the item is found to have a fault. Should an item be returned with no fault but in a used condition we will return it to the customer.
In the event of wanting to return a non-faulty item please complete the return form included with your order and post it back to us with the product, we will then wherever possible action your request within 14 working days. If we are not able to action your return within this time period we will email you. If you didn't receive a returns note, please enclose a letter including your name, address, order number and product that you are returning with your reason for return and what you'd like to be done once we receive it.
The products must reach us within a further 7 days from notification and you will be refunded/exchanged as soon as possible after we receive the garment and upon inspection to ensure that it is in its original condition.
Safety/climbing equipment and underwear must be in new and unused condition and it is the customers responsibility to maintain the condition and care of the item during the cancellation period. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Any footwear returned to us must be in its original box and this must be packaged in suitable material e.g. a Jiffy Bag. Any footwear returned in simply the box we are unfortunately unable to refund. If they show signs that they have been used outside the boots will be returned to the sender.
Any tents returned to us for refund must be in a new and unused condition and packaged in a suitable package / box. Any product returned to us with the postage lables adhered to the stuff sack will be refused. Any tent that shows any signs of being pitched outside will be deemed to be in a used condition and retuned.

Recycling your old electricals is easy!
Recycle your electrical and electronic devices free at your local recycling centre. To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your bin.
How are we helping?
In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).

Gear-zone do not disclose customers' information to third parties. We may use your personal information to inform you about the latest changes to the site and products or services that you may find of interest but if you prefer not to receive this you can tell us either by sending an e-mail message to firstname.lastname@example.org or by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email you recieve.
