These boots were made for walking....inspired by nature and endorsed by the National Trust.
The Altitude IV Enviro walking boot has been designed by Hi-Tec specifically with the environmental impact in mind, and marks the begining of an important journey for the Hi-Tec brand....taking small but significantly greener steps in the right direction.
The challenge was to engineer a lightweight, waterproof walking boot that offers unbeatable performance, comfort and true value, along with greater consideration for the environment.
Every ingredient of this new footwear has been investigated thoroughly, and meets with approval from Britain's biggest environmental agency.
With Ion-Mask water-management technology that ensures quicker drying times through absorbing less water, the Altitude IV Enviro will also remain lighter as a result - and stay cleaner longer than conventional, untreated models.
Great for people who want a classic-looking leather boot which goes some way to reducing our impact on the planet.

A History of Hi-Tec
Hi-Tec, based in the appropriately-named Essex village of Shoeburyness, are world-famous for their walking boots, sports shoes and snow boots.
Their first successful foray into the sports shoe industry in the 1970s saw the development of a dedicated shoe for the then fast-growing game of squash – which to date has sold more than 18 million pairs and is still a best-seller in over 80 countries.
Durable, functional walking boots followed, and the company’s rapid rise and development on the world stage was such a success it led them to becoming a casebook study at the Harvard Business School.
Hi-Tec’s revolutionary Ion-Mask technology - originally developed for the military to protect soldiers from chemical attack – has become an industry benchmark, heralding a quantum leap in waterproof footwear. By altering the fabric at a molecular level, Ion-Mask prevents water and other liquids from penetrating the surface of the boot, keeping your feet drier and more comfortable in the process.
