The Macpac Kahu 22 is a smaller daysack designed around contemporary features and aesthetics, but with Macpac's bomber engineering still shining through.
Macpac's famous wax and resin coated poly/cotton AzTec fabric provides outstanding durability along with a high degree of weather resistance, and the shoulder straps and grab handle both blitz over 100kg in strength tests so should you feel the need to fill the bag with lead or dangle your friend off a cliff with it you probably can (Gear Zone does not recommend attempting either of these actions). Of course in reality this just means that you really don't need to worry about the pack failing you even after years of hard love and abuse.
The Macpac T-Bone harness systems provides good all day comfort and there's a removable hipbelt should you require extra stability. The Kahu 22 should carry 6-8 kilos easily and around 10kg at a push.
The Macpac Kahu's styling makes it a great all round bag for both active sports and urban use, so the 3-D kidney opening helps you get stuff in and out easily, it's hydration bladder compatible and there's a zipped external phone/MP3 sleeve and two internal mesh sleeves and a zipped pocket for keys and other valuables.
Interestingly enough, Kahu means hawk in Maori.

For your own protection we recommend that when returning goods to us you use a service with a proof of delivery, appropriately insured to cover the value of the contents. Unfortunately we cannot refund or exchange any goods not received.

Follow-up after 90 days : Great bag - very well made and durable. Good size for everyday and handy pockets for keys etc so not rummaging around in the bottom and constantly losing things. Sturdy enough for day treks with all the straps you need for comfort. Service from gear zone was great too. Bag arrived quickly.
