A new design from Clog, the Flyer 2 is a great all-round belay device at a very good price.
CLOG FLYER 2 BELAY DEVICE
Designed as a amalgam of some of the best devices on the market, it may not look original but it performs brilliantly across a spectrum of ropes to give a quick pay out, an effective abseil and great stopping power.
The deep grooves help catch the rope really well and certainly give a solidity and feel on thinner lines that is very re-assuring when abseiling or holding falls.
However, its open ‘bucket’ shape still allows the rope to flow in and out well when ‘feeding’.
The Flyer comes in lots of different colours and is available on its own or as a set with our classic 12mm HMS Screwgate.
