Capacity: 5 Person
Use: Family Camping
The updated Laser Space 5 from Terra Nova redefines the standards for lightweight group and family camping.
This huge structure - with its two sleeping areas, 1.8m of headroom, 2.6 square metres of communal porch and two small vestibules accessed from the inners - weighs in at less than 1.1kg per person - 5.4kg max weight - and has a packed size of only 55 x 25 cms.
The lofty central porch can be further expanded by removing one of the inners to create a 2-3 man tent with a huge amount of space for general living, holding group meetings or storage.
The flysheet is constructed from Terra Nova's Watershed SL fabric. This innovative mix of silicone coatings and high-tenacity nylon substrate helps give the Laser Space 5 its incredible space-to-weight ratio.
The minimal number of seams improves waterproofing and weight saving.
Fabrics:
- Watershed SL flysheet fabric, with a minimum Hydrostatic Head of 6000mm
- The inner and groundsheet are Waterbloc SL 7000mm made using 'High Tenacity Nylon 6.6' which is proven to give:
>>better UV resistance than standard synthetic materials
>>better resistance to flex fatigue
>>better tear and abrasion-resistance (up to 500% better than polyester)
>>better bonding to waterproof coatings
>>better strength to weight ratio
- DAC Featherlite poles provide quick, simple and very strong and effective pitching.
