The Nemo Cosmo Insulated is a pretty serious inflatable camping mat, chocked with enough design features to write a small dissertation about!
Based around the Nemo Astro mats, the Cosmo adds extra thickness to provide a 3" deep mat, which serves to make the mat both very warm and very comfortable thanks to the large layer of air between you and the ground (and any roots, bumps or stones you may have pitched on).
Horizontal I-Beam baffles help create a flatter sleeping mat and eliminate bounce. They also tent to support body contours better than the more common vertical baffles since it helps the mat to resist folding around the body.
A 1" layer of foam inside the mat eliminates convective currents and helps minimise the associated heat loss, giving the Cosmo Insulated a consistent and even heat distribution.
The Nemo Cosmo Insulated also includes an integrated footpump, so inflation is, quite literally, a breeze!
Thanks to clever design the Cosmo Insulated manages to cram all of this in, and still come in at under 1kg, making it within the weight range of the most serious trekker.
For maximum comfort the Cosmo Insulated can be used with either the Cosmo Pillowtop 1P or Cosmo Pillowtop 2P (which converts two Cosmos into one large mattress) and it also includes a stuffsack, compression strap and repair patches.
