The new Women's Nuptse 2 Vest from The North Face provides plush warmth in harsh cold.

Slimmed down and with more down-filled baffles than the original, there's still the all-important 700 fill goose down to keep you snug in the most extreme conditions.

This is the lightest Nuptse vest yet. A mini rip-stop DWR shell provides water resistance, while double-layer taffeta on the shoulders adds to the abrasion resistance while wearing a backpack.

The North Face use only the highest quality Hungarian goose down in their insulated clothing, thoroughly tested at three stages of production for loftiness, moisture resistance, and ability to regain loft after compression.

The fill power of goose down is an indicator of two important features: warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility. The new Nuptse packs down small enough to stow into its own pocket.

All TNF layers can be zipped into other shells to create a single, insulating, cold weather jacket for challenging conditions.
