Mammut: 150 Years in the Making
150 years and going stronger than ever…Mammut’s long and distinguished history in the world of outdoor equipment and clothing embodies everything that Swiss technology represents.
Mountain sports specialists since 1862, Mammut are still driven by their quest for innovation and perfection, with quality, functionality and safety as high on their agenda today as it was when their original, traditional ropework company started life in an Alpine village near Zurich.
From rock shoes to hiking boots, climbing rope to carabiners, Mammut manufacture a diverse range of mountaineering, outdoor pursuits and snow sports clothing and equipment – with perhaps their best-known line of Ajungalak sleeping bags bringing them recognition and accolades from every corner of the planet.
To celebrate their 150 years at – literally – the top of their profession, Mammut have launched the 150 Peaks Project, where 150 teams will tackle 150 peaks all over the world, from Austria to Argentina, Tajikistan to Tanzania, in the biggest summit challenge of all time.
