Dyneema is a mixture of nylon and polyethylene yarn. Its high strength to weight ratio means that it can be used to make slings only 12mm wide – perfect for threading narrow gaps on belays and more secure on small spikes than wider slings. Abrasion resi tance is excellent.Nylon slings are available in a variety of constructions, widths and thicknesses and are an essential part of any climber’s rack. Strong, inexpensive and very durable. Ideal for course and centre use. Note: All tape equipment should b replaced every few years, sooner if frequently used in high mountain areas where UV degradation is accelerated.
