The Petzl Altios is part fo a new breed, that of the hybrid helmets - the use of a combination of expanded foam liner and a mesh panel mean that it is both comfortable and lightweight. This innovative design has the affect of giving the helmet a near weightless feeling. In addition, the space created between the head and the liner allows for efficient ventilation to keep the head cool and dry.

  • Durable injection molded polycarbonate shell for protection and durability.
  • Expanded polypropylene liner absorbs impacts without excess weight.
  • Removable mesh panel cradles the head for comfort and optimum pressure distribution.
  • Ergonomic shape that adapts well to varying head sizes.
  • Two heradlamp attaching options; a removable mount for the ADAPT system, or hooks for others.
  • Low-profile buckles located off to the side, not under the chin for less irritation.
  • Soft webbing straps for increased comfort.
  • Highly adjustable: chinstrap, nape height and headband, for an extremely comfortable and versatile fit.
  • Head band folds into the helmet for compact transportation.
