Thomas Kille, former captain of the German under-21 youth team, started out in business by reinforcing hockey sticks in the basement of his home. His first branded sticks went on sale in 1985, and since then the design and quality of TK products has attracted a fan base throughout Europe and across the world.
Now a leading player in markets everywhere, TK is still pushing the boundaries, introducing new technologies and paying the same attention to detail as ever.
Former under-21 team captain Thomas Kille was a well-known player in top-flight German hockey when he began reinforcing hockey sticks in the basement of his home and selling them to his contemporaries in the domestic game.
When demand increased and his reputation for quality and performance grew, Kille launched his own company more than a quarter of a century ago – and the TK logo featuring two elephants with crossed trunks resembling hockey sticks gripped the imagination of players everywhere.
Just seven years after the TK brand was born, ten Olympic gold and silver medallists at Barcelona in 1992 used TK sticks on their way to victory.
Today, with Thomas Kille still at the helm, the range has expanded to include protective equipment, holdalls and clothing, part of a global brand which has become a leading player on the international sporting stage.
