Kask Ski Hats

Kask founders Kaj Zackrisson and Sverre Liliequist have one thing in common…having as much fun as possible – together.

Their 20-year friendship began on the ski slopes – and has endured through their shared love of a sport which between them they have turned into a thriving business.

Kask of Sweden – motto: ‘Live a Little’ – was formed by the duo in a joint venture aimed at producing soft, smooth and non-itch ski hats.

Kask's main priority was an irritation-free forehead, unlike the woolly hats of their youth – and the handful of beanie hats they crocheted between them proved to be far more comfortable than just about anything designed for the ski slopes. Friends and family were the early beneficiaries of their initial efforts…until the idea took off and the two formed the company which is still setting standards today.

Their first patterned hat – named after the freeriding ‘Sickbird’ award both had won for their prowess across the snow – was the start of an enduring business relationship.

Each has his own input into the changing colours and patterns of each season’s headgear, adding their own unique ideas on style into what have become limited edition collectors’ items, much sought after by ski and snowboarding enthusiasts everywhere.
