Alt-berg is a hiking boot manufacturer who still make their walking and adventure travel boots in England, at their hiking boot factory in north Yorkshire.  This gives them an ideal testing place to ensure that every style of hiking boots they craft is suitable for the weather and terrain of the UK.  

Alt-Berg also use their walking boot expertise to create military boots and police footwear.
